When most people think about wedding cake toppers, they think about that little plastic figurines of a bride and groom all dressed up and standing together on top of a wedding cake. This miniature couple is typically standing hand in hand, or perhaps arm in arm. In fact, up until just a few years ago, wedding cakes just didn’t look like wedding cakes without that miniature plastic couple. Luckily, that just isn’t the case anymore. Now, wedding cake toppers come in all kinds of designs, colors, materials, and can be personalized to fit anything you want for your wedding. The last thing that I wanted for my wedding cake was to have it be plain white with that tiny plastic couple on top. As I mentioned above, I wanted to have a wedding cake topper, but I didn’t want it to be the tried and true bride and groom. Instead, I went with a monogram of our new family.
